Welcome to River
Believe it or not, you need the church, and the church needs you! God created us for worship, community and mission, and there is no greater place to encounter God's presence with other people than in the gathering of His church. The church is God's family, redeemed and transformed by His power through Jesus Christ. The church is not a building, a name on the door or a denomination: The Church is the family of God on earth and an expression of His love to the world.
We invite you to join us as we follow Jesus together. Whatever your story, we're glad you're here.
What To Expect
You Can Expect friendly people, joyful worship music, and accessible messages from the Bible to help you learn more about God. We invite you to come as you are, dress comfortably, and be yourself in a comfortable environment. We are simply real people who are simply following Jesus, trusting Him to transform our lives from the inside out.
Our Children's Classes are available for toddlers through 5th grade children, starting after we worship through music together as families. You can check-in at the Welcome Counter before or after worship, then our children's team will meet and serve your children with Bible stories presented at their own level.
In Our Sunday messages, we teach through the Bible, chapter by chapter in an expositional style, which means to read and clearly explain the meaning of God's Word so that people may understand and respond with faith and action (see Nehemiah 8:8). We primarily use the English Standard Version of the Bible (ESV), but reference other translations like the King James Version and the New Living Translation. If you need a Bible while you're here, we have loaners available, or you can follow along in the YouVersion Bible mobile app. If you need your own Bible for everyday use, let us know, and we'll be glad to get one for you.
Our Service begins at 10:00AM and typically lasts a little over an hour. Feel free to arrive as early as 9:00 AM to meet new people, fellowship and even lend a helping hand. Then, stay afterwards to continue building relationships and community with other people.
We look forward to meeting and connecting with you soon!
