Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Keith Radke

Hello, my name is Keith and I’m married to my best friend, Angie. We married in 1998, have 7 children together, and now 9 wonderful grandchildren. Our family brings us lots of love & joy. 
I've served in pastoral ministry since 1998. We began married life and ministry in Virginia Beach, Virginia (1998-2005), planted a church in Elizabeth City, North Carolina (2005-2010), then moved to Utah in 2010, where we've lived ever since. After serving for 7 years in Salt Lake City, we transitioned into supporting church planting throughout Utah. Starting in early 2017, I co-pastored at the newly planted Redemption Hill Church in Eagle Mountain, Utah, then launched River Community Church in Salt Lake County in August of 2018. 

Besides pastoring at River, I also serve on the advisory board of Calvary Sevier Valley, serve with Streams in the Wasteland Christian Ministries providing encouragement and help to other pastors and ministry leaders, and am regularly involved with Utah Christian radio.
Beyond ministry, I enjoy playing guitar, listening to music, smoking meat, fly-fishing and reading books. I have a lot of books...

Our Leadership Model

We are cultivating a pastor-led, elder-served, team-driven ministry model at River Community Church. As we grow into that model, our leadership philosophy will always reflect Jesus’ statement in Matthew 20:28 and Mark 10:45, that Jesus came this world “not to be served, but to serve, and give His life.” We seek to develop people with the servant heart of Jesus to serve and lead one another in our local church and in our community.  

We are served by our founding pastor, Keith Radke, who provides leadership vision, ministry development, and is our primary Bible teacher.

At this time, we are also served by two "borrowed" elders who provide supportive oversight to Pastor Keith for matters of direction, doctrine and discipline within the church. Currently, our elder team includes our pastor Keith Radke, pastor Steve Pierson (Redemption Hill Church, Utah), and pastor Robert Marshall (Streams in the Wasteland Christian Ministries). As we grow, we will replace our borrowed elders with men from our own congregation.

We are served by ministry leaders at all levels, people who are called by God to utilize their unique gift to help encourage, equip and empower the people of River to thrive as followers of Jesus. Our Ministry Support Team serves to advise and assist with implementing the overall vision of the church.

We are served by a board of directors made up of church members who provide practical guidance and accountability for the business and legal responsibilities of the church.
